Three days later as Tye was entering the room for the meeting he noticed a nervous third class standing at parade rest by the door in his coveralls.  “Can I help you shipmate?”

The third class popped to attention, “Attention on Deck.”

“At ease, Why are you here?”

“Sir, my chief told me to be here at this time sir,”

Tye lipped a short prayer, “Very well, carry on.” Tye entered the room.  “What’s with the kid in the p-way?” he asked.  The officers shrugged and then a minute later Sandy was holding the door open for the 3 rd class to enter.

The 3 rd class looked uncomfortable and Nobs nudged counter, “Relax shipmate, I only bite females.”

The third class stared at Nobs, “I’m sorry sir?”

The goddess walked in at that time, “Nobs, that is very unbecoming and Tyde, not funny.”

“Yes ma’am” Both Tye and Nobs said at the same time looking down.

“This would be the shipmate I was telling you about, Petty officer Farren.”

The goddess walked up and activated the globe. “Andrew can you please come to the globe and show us where you were born?” She smiled at him and he seemed to be instantaneously more comfortable he walked over to the globe and pointe to a place just off the coast of Kardonn.

“There is only water.” Spoons tapped his pen on his desk quickly.

“No, it’s there, it’s easy to find on a map. It’s a perfect triangle from the ti of this pennusla and ( big city name ).” he pointed to the spots on the globe and trace his fingers.

The goddess sat down covering her chest looking at the spot.  “I had hidden the island from the maps, to keep him from it.” She covered her eyes with her other hand, “I have forgotten so much over the last 300 years.”

Spoons studied her and stopped tapping his pen “So he’s right?”

The third class puffed up his chest. “Of course I’m right sir.  Everybody in my village who leaves has to  be able to point it out on a map and find their way back from Kardann, Sir.”

“only someone who has been there can get there.” She looked in the direction of the third class but didn’t really see him.

Tye had a thought of his goddess talking to a couple and a woman squeezing her husband. “That is where your people who wished to stay went isn’t it?” He saw little children running around.  Tye shook his head and looked at the 3 rd class, “Will our ships fit?”

The third class thought for a second, “Our supply ship might, if the tide is low enough, but it might be to long.  You can rent a boat…”

“Hey Ol’ Man, when’s the last time you took your gig for a spin?” Nobs Smiled.

“The boat in hanger bay three sir? Oh that would fit.”

“You don’t want to go Nobs, you’ll meet a pretty girl and settle down.” Tubes smilled “on second thought go, it will be good for you.”

The officers expect Nobs started laughing.  Nobs had the dumbstruck look on his face.
