Seaflower - 30

Tye had a meeting with each CO of the respective ships, the oracle and
Spoons.  They had set up a platform in hanger bay 2, each person wore a
mike, not that it was needed, everybody was quiet. Nobody had heard of a
public meeting before.  The MCs had cameras so others could watch.
Tye started the meeting off summing the prophecy.  Explaining that the
goddess was on land but classes and test were to continue.  Not long
after Tye started talking something made the aircraft carrier tip
violently and he stopped talking only long enough to tell everybody to
sit.
"We are going to do this one step at a time.  First we are going to deal
with the creature of the sea.  Then we will worry about the one from the
sky, and then the constellation and so on."
One of the CO's stood up.  "Do we know anything about the monster of the
sea?"
Tye shook his head.  He knew nothing of the old water legends being from
land, and then everybody got real quiet about everything once the
judgment day happened.
The oracle was 'staring' hard at one of the skippers.
The skipper that the child was staring at stood up.  "I know of one tale
of a guardian monster that lived in the sea.  I am not sure if it is the
one you are looking for."
"Of course, somebody is going to just suddenly remember."  One person
said in the crowd.
"Shut up" everybody around said, a few even hit him.
"A long time ago, back when men were young, the moon was enjoying her
reflection on the sea near the coast.  A man saw it and though it to be
the most beautiful thing he had ever seen so he grabbed it from the
water meaning to use it as a courting gift.  The moon grew angry and
when the man brought his new bride to the water's edge to show her that
I was even more beautiful in the water, the moon turned him into a
monster who's sole purpose was to protect her reflection. When the moon
looked at her reflection and realized that there was a piece missing it
was already to late, that the bride had fled from the waters edge. It is
said that if the monster were to ever realize that part of the moons
reflection was missing he would go crazy and the seas would be wild and
unpredictable, which is why you only see the moon's reflection on wavy
water."
"Oh, that is very good." One of the other skippers stood up and smiled,
"Not only did you explain where the monster came from but how to summon
him."
Tye nodded as his eyes scanned the bay.  He understood but more people
looked lost than ones who seem to understand.  He lipped a short prayer.
"Where did this story take place?" Farren asked.
"Sir"
"Sir" Farren corrected himself, he looked at Tye apologetically.
"It was just a bed time story were I am from."
The oracle looked around the room and then tugged on Farren's sleeve so
he could whisper something in his ear.
"Gentlemen, the oracle wishes for those who have heard the story to
stand up so that he might find the next place."
The skippers looked at each other nodding, Tye spoke up, "Go ahead.  If
you have heard the story please stand."
The child walked around the bays.  He would "look at" or touch the
sailor and then shake his head.  10 minutes later he was walking to
Farren and as he walked behind one of the skippers he froze.  "You," he
whispered.
"I've never heard the tale."
"Your ship, can I go there?" The child turned his head to Tye.
"Please?"
"______ would you jump him?" Tye looked at the Camera.  "_______ if you
have heard the tale please goto the" He looked at the skipper.
"Forecastle."
"Forecastle, thank you."
The skipper looked uncomfortably at the child.  The child held up his
hands and the skipper took them before they disappeared.
Tye looked around.  "I think we can call this meeting just about over.
Everybody please pay attention, next we will ideas on how to summon,
subdue, capture, or kill the monster.  Please email your next up in
chain.  Before you send up any ideas please make sure you delete any
duplicates.  Information about the story will be put out.  If you have
any more information please let your chain know."
The child came back smiling and walked over to Tye and tugged his
sleeve.
Tye looked at the child once he got the city.  "Are you sure? I guess we
have our heading.  Remacia."
Whispers started, you could pick out the people who were from there from
the clapping, though the whispers were louder.
"turn 2 guys."  Tye did the signal, but the skippers stayed at the
table.
