9p kw star

This is the start of what I hopes to be a trend, I will draw three cards and write a short story based on what I pulled.  The cards are only an inspiration, I might choose to go away from what the cards mean. - these last few days have been pulled from an old blog and i think I will start again

She wiped her brow and looked at the scattered clouds.  Another set of moves, sharp focus points that blended together like a dance. She would get the moves down, when it came time to fight in this years match she would win again. She knew her competition was practicing and learning new moves, she had to be ready to counter anything thrown at her.

She helped her semi-finals opponent off the ground, laughing.  "You okay?" Forcing her voice into a false baritone. However, instead of helping him up he pulled her down, laughing. A quick shove later and they are both on their feet giving each other playful punches before he walked away. Cracking her knuckles she watched her last opponent walk up. The crowd was cheering and stomping their feet and being as loud as they could.  This was going to be the 3rd year in a row that it was the two of them. This time would prove who was better of the two.

Their fight was fast and almost like a dance, evading most of the hits they both smiled as they fought. Never being able to stay on the offensive, they juggled who was attacking. Finally she started kicking, he wasn't expecting that.  She tripped him and he took her down with him and they grappled on the ground, he had the upper hand until she managed to slide out of his grip and punching him in the throat.  The instant release she had him on the ground and kneeled on his stomach.  "Mercy or another hit there, this time full force"

The crowd held its breath as they waited for his reply.  Sure that he could do something to win, they were quiet, nobody even coughed. "Mercy. You win." She got up and helped him up, though he doubled over while she patted his back.  "I win again"

"Next year you will have someone different, this was my last year competing"

"This was my last year as well." Her smile broke, looking over at the queen.  Next year she would be sitting next to her mother, announced to the world as a princess.  Lord Princess Decinaty, she huffed, oh well, there was a few months left until her unrevealing.
